I was going to type this later, but what's the point in talking about procrastination if I did that!! I am an absolute expert in procrastinating…I do it well. Does it serve me a purpose? Yes, sometimes it does, as it allows me the freedom to have ideas and spontaneity, which I cherish. When it came to the boring stuff, though, that was a whole new ball game. I like working to a deadline, even though I know full well that it causes me stress, but then I feel alive under pressure. I get around it by telling folk I will deliver. That intrinsic goal pushes me to work away from looking silly as opposed to wanting to look good. I wonder if you thought about it, not right now, though, what your strategy is.
I am getting better at knowing I am in charge and that it is my responsibility. Small, simple dull tasks done regularly have helped me recognise when I procrastinate and alter my habits. It's not as easy as just getting on and doing it. Watch this space, though.
Speak later. Take care.
